Attack by Proxy 2

by

We said, just over a week ago:

Sadly, Stalker Number One is at it again after an all-too-brief hiatus.

Iain Hall, who famously disapproves of people using internet anonymity to slag off others, has heaped hypocrisy upon stupidity by using an anonymous commenter to attack long-time enemy Scott Bridges’ new blog, Groupthink.

Since that time, a number of things have happened. Iain Hall and Sockpuppet (henceforth known as ‘SP’) have contined to harrass the bloggers of Groupthink and Pure Poison. They’ve also taken great exception to this blog pointing out their stalking ways.

But that’s not all that’s happened. We at Stalkwatch have proof – conclusive, irrefutable, and ready for publication at any time – of the identity of anonymous stalker SP.

We at StalkWatch are not particularly interested in ‘outing’ anonymous bloggers. We certainly don’t intend to silence the extremist views of Mr Hall, and his coterie of equally extreme lunatics and degenerates. We do, however, baulk at stalking and harrassment of the sort that Hall has provided in droves, and which SP appears to have now signed up to.

To that end, we are quite happy to bury the damaging information at our disposal, on the following conditions:

1. Iain Hall removes all photographs of political enemies from his blogs and other sites.

2. Iain Hall shuts down the blogs ‘niceperson709′, ‘niceperson907′, and any other blogs dedicated solely to attacking others.

3. The SP character is retired, permanently.

4. All existing posts by SP are deleted.

5. SP’s creator and Iain Hall refrain from further stalking behaviour on blogs, Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr.

In exchange, we at Stalkwatch will refrain from publishing our very damaging evidence of SP’s identity. We will also delete the present post. We do not expect any apologies or explanations, merely an end to the stalking. We hope that this incident can be forgotten, and that we can all go on our merry way with political, blogospheric debate. We don’t want to see Iain’s blog return to the bad old days when it was just a vehicle to attack others. We don’t want to see people stop commenting and debating his extreme views. Unfortunately for Iain, just as comments from various people were flowing again at his blog, they have stopped.

Should you refuse to comply with our reasonable requests, we shall have no choice but to publically identify you, and publish our evidence. Think carefully before you choose. You, SP, have already been fooled into giving the full name and identifying details of a third-party online. This material is potentially defamatory. You, Sockpuppet,  have another blog under your real name,  and this name will be forever conjoined with SP and Stalkwatch should anybody do a google search. You have made strong statements against internet anonymity, statements that are now examples of the utmost hypocrisy. You have abused a position of trust with respect to the detestable Iain Hall. Finally, and most disturbingly, you have betrayed a number of erstwhile friendly bloggers with your behaviour. If you refuse to accede to our reasonable request, we would have no choice but to inform these other bloggers of your two-faced behaviour. I should expect that your online reputation would be ruined, and that you would be banned from most reputable blogs.

We expect compliance with our request by 6pm, EST, 9/11/09 (viz. tomorrow).

Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to drop by and leave them in the comments box. Please note that no further negotiations will be entered into.

Best wishes,

The Stalkwatch Team.

    What a “fucking idiot”

  2. Sylvia Plath Says:

And across at Hall’s the response is… a post about underwear and “steaming dung”.

  3. Shelley Levene Says:

Did the underwear pic need to be that big?

  4. Sylvia Plath Says:

    Maybe Iain is being “sponserd”.

  5. Travis Bickle Says:

I see that the only response thus far is that Hall/SP has removed the photo of Dave G. All the other pics are still up, as are those at Hall’s attack blog, niceperson709. It appears that we are not being taken seriously. We shall see in a few hours.

  6. Gary Says:

After the latest offering at Iain Hall’s blog ref the refugee’s, anyone, and I mean anyone, who is under the misconception that Iain Hall is not barking bonkers should have a sanity check of their own.

  7. Sylvia Plath Says:

If it’s the latest one then it actually originated with “Sockpuppet”, who is studiously avoiding the fact that he is about to be exposed to the world as a fraudulent hypocrite.

  8. Gary Says:

As I posted at another blog, Hall’s blog should be renamed “The thoughts of Hall and Dixon” Although to be fair at least Dixon does call Hall on most of his ramblings. The other two or three that comment there, are all a product of Hall’s p.c.

If they’re not, we have a lot of sick people lurking on the net.

I truly believe Hall revels in this notoriety, and if we didn’t bang on about how stupid we all think he is, he might do something useful for society like get a job.

  9. Iain Hall Says:

I am loathe to post anything here but SockPuppet has requested that I pass this on to you scumbags:
    Dear Stalkers,

I see you are once again making anonymous threats to ‘name & shame’ me publicly.

What is your problem with the ‘SockPuppet’ (SP) character? The accusations you make are ridiculous; I have not engaged in any defamation, I have not stalked anyone our ‘outed’ them. Nor have I accessed and/or used any information from anyone’s Twiiter, Facebook, FlickR files, etc.

This is the extent of SP’s so-called offences:

    1. SP wrote a critical post about Groupthink labelling it ‘shitenhauser’. So what? That’s just a critical opinion. No one was harmed, no one was defamed (or even criticised) and the post was more on the light hearted side. Get over it.

    2. SP wrote a critical post about your anonymously authored website that was in direct response to your first post threatening to name & defame me. Your post also contained untrue allegations. I did use some colourful language to describe the authors of SW but, as the authors are anonymous, so what? I did not make any suggestions as to who I believe the authors are – even though I have reasonable grounds to do so. I have exercised restraint in that regard yet you still threaten to ‘name & shame’ me – from the cowardly position of anonymity of course.

    3. SP wrote a post criticising Crikey author Dave Gaukroger for posting a seemingly friendly comment at your blog – about me. I believe that is valid criticism. It certainly wasn’t derogatory about Dave and as for the photo, well that is the photo that he uses as his gravatar and on the front page of his own blog, so what is the problem with using that? (but see below)

The above is the full extent of SP’s ‘offences’. I don’t know what else you think I have done but whatever it is you are mistaken. You mention that I gave the full name of the person that YOU were clearly – and wrongly – inferring was SP (the person known as N.S …) and that somehow that was defamatory. However, you had already effectively named that person by inference and reference, and in fact one commenter on your blog actually spelled the full name out with only a couple of letters changed. The context in which I repeated the name was to deny your allegations so that is hardly defamation of N.S. The reference was subsequently deleted anyway.

Contrary to what you seem to believe, you occupy only a very small corner of the Internet and you have no business dictating what other people write, especially when you do so anonymously and when you lace your commentary with derogatory statements and insults of real identities.

The only concessions I am prepared to make are these:

    1. I will no longer mention your disgraceful blog, in fact I won’t even mention your latest appalling threats.

    2. I will remove Dave’s photo from the post.

    3. I will not make any further general criticisms of Groupthink, although I reserve the right to critically review any posts that are put there in future.

As for your demands of Iain, I have no control or influence over what Iain does so if those demands are not met that is hardly justification for your threats against me.

If you still think that you are justified in ‘naming & shaming’ me then all I can say is you have a warped moral code and no idea of what constitutes poor Internet behaviour and what does not. Any such publication by you would be clearly defamatory and hypocritical.

By the way, one thing you might not be aware of is that the SP who wrote the abovementioned posts is not the same person that originally started making comments at Iain’s blog under that name. Iain asked that person if he wished to continue using the name and when he declined the nickname was assigned to me. So you’ve probably got your facts wrong (again).

Anyway, I will not be making any further response here or answering any more of your questions or accusations. I think that you need to understand that there is no malicious intent behind the SP character and this current ‘war’ between us was actually started by your over-reaction to my Groupthink post.

So why don’t you just leave me alone and I’ll do likewise?

    Cheerio,

    SockPuppet

  10. Travis Bickle Says:

    Sorry SP. No dice.

Our problem with the SP character is that it is being used for anonymous sniping, is authored by a self-rightoues, hypocritical prig, and is hosted on the blog of a known and repeat stalker.

Contrary to what you seem to believe, you occupy only a very small corner of the Internet and you have no business dictating what other people write

    Ditto, pal.
The thing is, when you write about real people, you definitely need to take some careful measures. We at StalkWatch are at pains to either substantiate our positions with evidence, or make clear that a position is merely our opinion. Unfortunately, neither you nor Mr Hall do likewise.

As for your demands of Iain, I have no control or influence over what Iain does so if those demands are not met that is hardly justification for your threats against me.

Wrong again. Are you really this stupid, or did you take hypocrisy lessons from the Renaissance popes? Iain does not distinguish between any members of what he calls the ‘alumni’ – hence, all are smeared, named, have their associates’ photographs published, etc. It is this legacy of stalking that you signed on to, SP. You should choose your company a little more carefully. If Iain was any kind of human being, he would spare his only friend the embarrassment of an ‘outing’. Instead, your welfare is worth less to him than his ability to continue to stalk, steal photos, pursue vindictive campaigns, etc. You must feel proud.

I think that you need to understand that there is no malicious intent behind the SP character and this current ‘war’ between us was actually started by your over-reaction to my Groupthink post.

LOL. Whatever your intent was, Sockpuppet became malicious very quickly. And no, the ‘war’ was started by Hall stalking. This has continued on, and you have decided, of your own volition, to assist Iain in his stalking by sniping anonymously from his blog. You then have the audacity to blame me for ‘over-reaction’.

Clean up your act, sunshine, as I’m putting the finishing touches on my next post.

  11. Jake LaMotta Says:

Why did you have to post this comment on SPs behalf, Iain?

  12. Billy Costigan Says:

    Can you smell the panic?

  13. Sylvia Plath Says:

Because poor old “Sockpuppet” is poo-scared about his IP becoming known to us – and he doesn’t know how to use a proxy, given that his grasp of the Internet is about as skilled as Iain’s spelling.

Looks like Stalkwatch will have to ‘out’ the not-so-mysterious “Sockpuppet” and Iain the master puppeteer, showing them up for the fulminating hypocrites they are. Not that it’ll bother Iain too much – he’s already got one of the worst reputations on the Internet – but “Sockpuppet” has considerably more to lose.

  14. Jake LaMotta Says:

By the way, one thing you might not be aware of is that the SP who wrote the abovementioned posts is not the same person that originally started making comments at Iain’s blog under that name. Iain asked that person if he wished to continue using the name and when he declined the nickname was assigned to me. So you’ve probably got your facts wrong (again).

So what? What’s the relevance here? You didn’t have to accept the nickname. You could have continued using your usual name.

If you still think that you are justified in ‘naming & shaming’ me then all I can say is you have a warped moral code and no idea of what constitutes poor Internet behaviour and what does not.

Sure, sure, sure. It’s okay for you to veer close to naming names which suggests you’re just itching to post names of people you suspect and/or don’t like. Who knows if you will. What was that about poor internet behaviour?

The above is the full extent of SP’s ‘offences’. I don’t know what else you think I have done but whatever it is you are mistaken. You mention that I gave the full name of the person that YOU were clearly – and wrongly – inferring was SP (the person known as N.S …)

And yet you said that you were that person known as NS, using her full name, around the time you were “giving up”. You used her identity by pretending to be her.

  15. Travis Bickle Says:

By the way, one thing you might not be aware of is that the SP who wrote the abovementioned posts is not the same person that originally started making comments at Iain’s blog under that name. Iain asked that person if he wished to continue using the name and when he declined the nickname was assigned to me. So you’ve probably got your facts wrong (again).

Whatevs, Sookpuppet. If the shoe fits, etc.

  16. Travis Bickle Says:

As I posted at another blog, Hall’s blog should be renamed “The thoughts of Hall and Dixon” Although to be fair at least Dixon does call Hall on most of his ramblings. The other two or three that comment there, are all a product of Hall’s p.c.

I truly believe Hall revels in this notoriety, and if we didn’t bang on about how stupid we all think he is, he might do something useful for society like get a job.

‘The thoughts of Hall and Dixon’ – that’s about the size of it, Gary. But I don’t think that Iain would get a job irrespective of what we do. He considers blogging and Noddy Cars a full-time pursuit. He also spends a lot of time trying to out anonymous bloggers on the internet. He’s just not very good at it, even after all these years.

  17. Bill the Butcher Says:

It’s not Gary’s fault he was confused over Hall’s moronic, illiterate dribblings and SP’s pathetic parody. Earth to SP, this may come as a shock but you are not funny.

  18. Sylvia Plath Says:

“Sockpuppet”, you are about to be shafted. Twice, in fact, because Iain is going to shaft you just before we do. He couldn’t give two shits that your real life existence is going to be discredited by your online stupidity (which Iain facilitated and no doubt encouraged). He’d rather cut you loose and see you fry than delete one single word of his idiotic attack blogs. That’s your reward for making your bed with one of the Internet’s biggest tools, turning a blind eye to his cretinous behaviour and apologising for him at every turn.

  19. Billy Costigan Says:

It’s so sad that Iain values stalking over his friends. What a piece of shit.

  20. Billy Costigan Says:

    8 minutes.

  21. Bill the Butcher Says:

That’s a knifing if I’ve ever seen one (that’s humour SP). It all could be avoided if Iain took down his ridiculous stalking blogs and posts.

  22. Jake LaMotta Says:

Sockpuppet, why couldn’t you post your comment here instead of getting Iain to do it? After all, you’re always bitching about cowardice on the internets.

  23. Billy Costigan Says:

SockPuppet’s father (LOL) isn’t going to help him now.

  24. Gary Says:

Travis, from what I can make out Hall is just an attention seeker. But, having said that, the comments that appear at his site are the stuff of the “Monty Python” legend. If I didn’t know Halls past form, I’d say he may be taking the piss.Surely he doesn’t believe people take his view of the world serious?Or do they?

  25. Charles Palantine Says:

I find it funny that SP criticised Groupthink for being unfunny (despite commenting there), and then posts this horrible piece of unfunny satire.

  26. Jake LaMotta Says:

Satire? That’s what it was trying to be?

Gary, Hall is more than just an attention seeker. He’s a fucking stalker and a fucking creep and a fucking allrounder moron.

  27. Billy Costigan Says:

So they failed to make the deadline.

    STAY TUNED TO THIS STATION.

  28. Travis Bickle Says:

Running a few minutes lates, folks, but don’t worry, the post will be on its way shortly. I keep checking, but these guys haven’t taken their photos and other stalky content offline. They must think I’m joking.

  29. Jake LaMotta Says:

Sockpuppet will be wishing you were joking in a short while.
